Kalakaua

The Kalakaua collection explores the clash between locals, paradise, tourism, human nature and consumerism. Thousands of tourists from all over the world, flock to the iconic Waikiki on the coast of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands. Between 2005 - 2011 this was my backyard. I walked these streets over and over, experimenting, practicing, and seeing. A selection were minted as NFT's for the Lux Life series.
